WCF SECTION PRESS RELEASE #14 – 2/23/15
LEMUEL “WOODY” FURMAN KJ4KSG APPOINTED TO BE AN ARRL NET MANAGER, AS ASSISTANT NET MANAGER FOR THE EAGLE NET
On Monday February 16, Lemuel “Woody” Furman KJ4KSG, was appointed to be an ARRL Net Manager as Assistant Net Manager for the Eagle Net, the NTS Traffic Net for the ARRL West Central Florida Section. Woody’s responsibilities include helping Dave with collecting Net Control Station reports from the various Net Control Stations that run the Eagle Net as well as a Alternate Net Control when needed.
Woody, originally from the outer banks of North Carolina, is a retired plumber and a part time musician. Woody, first licensed in 2008, enjoys amateur radio and is enthusiastic about the hobby, and is very active in the Manatee County Amateur Radio Club, the Bradenton Amateur Radio Club, and Manatee County ARES and has a dual role as an ARRL Public Information Officer in Manatee County.
