Starts Saturday, 1/24 with a 9AM setup, running through the day (late evening departure), with standard field day activities as well as interaction with the scout troops throughout the day. Parking will be at a premium, please only enter the gate with assistance if you have equipment to haul for operation. Talk in will be available on the 145.430 MHz
We are setting up equipment at 11:00 with the kickoff at 12 noon. We will be monitoring the W4IE repeater. 146.910/146.310 with a 100hz tone on the input.

UPDATED 2/03/15 - NOTE FREQUENCY AND TOWN CHANGES Everyone within VHF Hearing Distance is encouraged to participate in the Highlands County Amateur Radio Club and Highlands County ARES 2 Meter Simplex Contest. The VHF Contest will run from 0900 (9:00 A.M.) through 1300 (1:30 P.M.). There will be a follow up luncheon at 1330 (1:30 P.M.) at Hibachi's Buffet 2870
THIS EVENT WAS CANCELLED ON 2/27/15 The LWRA Radio Expeditions allow amateur radio operators to set up and test out their ARES Go-Kits and QRP Stations. Also they bring their favorite items to grill while operating their ARES Go-Kits and or QRP Stations. These are held most of the time two weeks following the monthly LWRA Membership Meeting.
