PUBLIC RELATIONS – Amateur Radio’s face to the World

Public Relations helps the average person aware of the existence and importance of amateur radio to him in his everyday life.

The ARRL WCF Section Public Information Coordinator oversees and support the work of the local ARRL Public Information Officer.

PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICER

The key person to that role is the ARRL Station Appointment of a Public Information Officer (PIO).  Ideally every ARRL Affiliated Club should have a PIO.  The PIO make press releases to local print and electronic media outlets of the activities of the club especially in view of the public.
