Official ARRL Appointment Badges

ARRL Sections are responsible for several specific field organization programs.   Each program has a section level appointee called a section official, who is in charge of coordinating the activities of that program.  The section officials, along with the elected Section Manager and any Assistant Section Managers make up the Section "cabinet."

The programs are as follows:
 

• Emergency Communications - Amateur Radio Emergency Services
• Message Traffic - National Traffic System (NTS)
• Volunteer Monitoring - Official Observers, Amateur Auxiliary 
• Support of affiliated clubs
• State & Local Government Liaison
• Technical Specialists & Resources
• WCF Section RFI Policy and LIC Information
• Dissemination of on-the-air bulletins

Recruitment of new hams and League members is an integral part of the job of every League appointee. Appointees should take advantage of every opportunity to recruit a new ham or member to foster growth of Field Organization programs, and our abilities to serve the public.
