UPDATED 2/03/15 - NOTE FREQUENCY AND TOWN CHANGES Everyone within VHF Hearing Distance is encouraged to participate in the Highlands County Amateur Radio Club and Highlands County ARES 2 Meter Simplex Contest. The VHF Contest will run from 0900 (9:00 A.M.) through 1300 (1:30 P.M.). There will be a follow up luncheon at 1330 (1:30 P.M.) at Hibachi's Buffet 2870
THIS EVENT WAS CANCELLED ON 2/27/15 The LWRA Radio Expeditions allow amateur radio operators to set up and test out their ARES Go-Kits and QRP Stations. Also they bring their favorite items to grill while operating their ARES Go-Kits and or QRP Stations. These are held most of the time two weeks following the monthly LWRA Membership Meeting. Event Information Gates to the EOC will open at 0830 for participants to arrive and register for the foxhunt. Foxhunt will begin at 0930 and end at 1145.
